Beneficiary: The Language Project

Founded by American Carol Kresge who saw the great need and desire for books in Laos, The Language Project began in 1999 setting up small reading libraries for the novices and monks in Luang Prabang temples.

Since 2003, a study and resource centre has been operating in town open and free to all. The library is a place for motivated students to find and use the tools they need to further their studies and skills in English language with books, tapes and computers with CD Rom learning materials. Most of these learning materials are simply not available in Laos.
