Easter Island Exploration Day 4: Easter Island Morning to enjoy the activities offered by the hotel. After lunch in the afternoon, you will be invited to visit the island in a different perspective accompanied by your experienced guide Mr José Letelier. Born in Santiago de Chile, Jose Morel is the son of Orlando Letelier, the former Chilean Ambassador to US. An architect by training, Jose is involved in tourism related activities as well as consulting on several architectural monument & environmental conservation projects on Easter Island.
At the end of the tour, you will be invited to a champagne sundowner at the
Moais. Ahu Tahai i--a site that was restored in 1967 by archaeologist William
Mulloy, and is one of the oldest (7th century) on Easter Island. Dinner at Rapa Nui Home: The key to understanding the history, myths and legends of Easter Island is meeting the people. The program will include the unique opportunity of dining at the home of a local family providing an unforgettable experience and true insight on everyday life on the island.
Easter Island Exploration
Day 5: Easter Island – Santiago Direct transfer from hotel to Mataveri airport for a 4-hour flight to Santiago. The flight back to Santiago is one hour shorter due to the stronger West-East currents. Upon arrival at the airport in Santiago, assistance and transfer to the Ritz Carlton Hotel for the last night stay in Chile.
Easter Island Exploration Day 6: Santiago, departure. In due time, transfer to the airport to board flight back to USA.
