Great Apes of Africa Day 1 Arrival in Entebbe Today you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where we will meet you for a welcome drink and a briefing, and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight: The Boma Guest House
Great Apes of Africa Day 7-8 Day 7: Lake Mburo National Park Today we will travel eastwards (8 hours, 285km, 171 Miles) to Lake Mburo National Park. After lunch in Mbarara, we drive to the park and check in to our camp, enjoying a game drive on the way.
Mihingo Lodge Day 8: Lake Mburo National Park - Entebbe and Depart This morning we return to Entebbe (5 hours, 250km, 150 Miles) where we will check in to our hotel and prepare for our evening flight out. We will arrive in time for lunch, with the afternoon at leisure.

Great Apes of Africa Day 4-5 Day 4: QENP—Bwindi Impenetrable Forest This morning, we leave early and drive to Ishasha (5 hours, 112km, 67 Miles) in southern Queen Elizabeth National Park. The game densities here are high, and this region has reported some of the largest herds of Elephant anywhere in Uganda, as it is the main migration corridor between Uganda and the DRC.
There is prolific plains game here - primarily Topi and Uganda Kob, Buffalo, Hippo and of course Elephant. We enjoy game drives in the park, followed by a transfer to Bwindi (2.5 hours, 65km, 39 Miles)
Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp Day 5 and 6: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest The Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi are part of a worldwide population of just 720 individuals. The gorillas we are allowed to track belong either one of 6 habituated family groups. For up to five years each, these groups have undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually brought them to tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day and allowed a few privileged visitors to interact with them in the wild.
The time taken to track the gorillas varies enormously, from as little as half an hour to as much as 9 hours before one returns to camp. Once the gorillas are located, our group will be allowed a maxi-mum of one hour with them. We will enjoy 1 gorilla track , and on the day that we do not go gorilla tracking, we will enjoy a walk in the forest and a visit with a local community Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp
Great Apes of Africa Day 2-3 Day 2: Entebbe—Kibale Forest National Park An early morning departure followed by a drive (6 hours, 400 km, 234 miles) west to the Kibale Forest National Park. This tropical rain forest is the natural habitat for 12 primate species, and contains the highest primate density of any area on Earth. Here, on a guided forest walk, you may find Chimpanzees and Red Colobus Monkeys chattering and swinging through the ancient trees, some of which are 50 to 60 meters (150 to 180 feet) in height.
They provide a majestic canopy for the profusion of life, including 325 bird species. We arrive at our lodge for lunch and then go on the first of our chimpanzee treks this afternoon.
Overnight: Primate Lodge Day 3: Kibale - Queen Elizabeth National Park This morning we enjoy our second Chimp track, followed by a road transfer (5 hours 200km, 120 miles) south with a picnic lunch to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. He we will enjoy an evening boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, renowned for its prolific birdlife.
