Adventure India Day 1: Arrive In Delhi Upon your arrival at the international airport in Delhi, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Delhi, the capital of kingdoms and empires, is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction to the culture of an ancient land.
Day 2: Delhi-Kathgodam After breakfast, start your full-day tour of Old and New Delhi. Your enchanting sightseeing tour of Old Delhi will include:

Your evening will be free for shopping. During the late evening, you will be transferred to the railway station to board your overnight train to Kathgodam.

Adventure India Day 8: Village Walk – Kalmatia Sangam Walk downhill to Jageshwar through terraced fields, villages, and magnificent cedar forests. At Jageshwar, visit the ancient temple complex built by the Chand and Katyuri rulers between the 8th and 12th centuries A.D.
Drive an hour and a half back to the Kalmatia Sangam Himalaya Resort. On your way back, you will stop to see the prehistoric rock art at Lakhudiar.
Day 9: Kalmatia Sangam – Corbett After breakfast, drive to Corbett (roughly 4 ½ hours). Upon arrival at Corbett, check into your hotel. You will have the afternoon for leisure, or you may choose to go for a jungle safari in a 4x4 open Jeep.
Jim Corbett National Park has the proud distinction of being chosen as the venue for the inauguration of Project Tiger in India and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. It is famous for its wild population of tigers, leopards, and elephants. The habitat diversity of the Corbett Tiger Reserve is tremendous; the park has 110 different species of trees, 50 species of mammals, 580 species of birds, and 25 species of reptiles. Renowned for its resident tigers, Jim Corbett National Park is the first and oldest National Park of India. It is now one of the nine tiger reserves created at the launch of the Project Tiger in 1973.
Day 10: Corbett Enjoy a morning and evening safari in the jungle in a 4x4 Jeep. You will have the opportunity to get a closer look at the jungle while riding on the back of an elephant!
Adventure India Days 5 -7: Village Walk The village walk will lead you through picturesque villages along terraced fields, past waterfalls, and along a winding stream and pine, cedar, oak, and rhododendron forests. The walk varies from gentle to slightly steep and will take you between 1450m and 2250m in altitude.
The old village trails will pass through several villages where the houses have wonderfully carved doors and windows. The homes will give you a realistic impression of Kumaoni local life, where the old traditions and culture are still part of the daily routine. You will pass villages where the castes are strictly segregated and will walk through terraced fields and along traditional irrigation channels. As everywhere in the Kumaon, people are friendly and curious, and more than happy to answer questions and to be photographed. The walks take you on a route to ancient Kali, Vishnu, and Shakiti temples, over 1000 years old, and past ancient flour mills. The Himalayas and panoramic views along the ridges are magnificent.
Upon arrival at the cottage, freshen up and enjoy a welcome drink, while traditional Kumaoni food is cooked by the villagers. Relax with refreshments in a quaint, stone garden overlooking small fields. The landlord will prepare dinner for you with ingredients fresh from his fields. You are welcome to watch and help! Relax, chat with the locals, and listen to tales of the past.
On the last evening, after a delicious dinner, you have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of traditional Kumaoni folk dances and music with a bonfire.
Adventure India Day 11 & 12: Corbett – Shivpuri Transfer from Corbett to Shivpuri. Upon arrival in Shivpuri, you will be met by a driver and transferred to the Shivpuri base camp (approximately two hours). Shivpuri is well known as an active sports center for white water rafting and as a base for treks and hikes in the beautiful Garwal Himalayas. Adventure activities around Shivpuri include rafting, rappelling, nature walks, bird watching, kayaking, beach games, water polo, and hiking.
Upon arrival, check into your tented camp and receive a briefing on the camp and the day’s plan. After lunch, enjoy a session of rock climbing and rappelling with professionally trained guides. Relax in the evening on the riverbank playing beach games, and later sit around the campfire to enjoy dinner.
Day 13: Shivpuri Enjoy an early morning short trek around the base camp. After a hearty breakfast, depart for white water rafting.
The Ganges River has always remained a mystery for explorers and full of surprises for the rafters. The white water river rafting stretch on the Ganges is from Shivpuri to Rishikesh where the river has eight major rapids ranging from grade II to IV. You can enjoy cliff jumping and body surfing along the way. A detailed safety briefing will be given by the professional guides before you embark on your rafting trip, and safety equipment, buoyancy aids, helmets, and paddles will be provided for you. Enjoy lunch after you wash and change. You will have the option of returning to the camps or you can visit the temples and shrines in Rishikesh, followed by a spiritual Ganga Aarti ceremony in the evening.
After the ceremony, return back to the camp and enjoy a campfire with a delicious dinner under the moonlight.
Day 14: Shivpuri – Delhi After breakfast, drive to Delhi (5-6 hours). Upon arrival, check into The Radisson to freshen up. In the late evening you will transfer from your hotel to the international airport for your flight home.
Adventure India Day 3: Kathgodam – Kalmatia Sangam Upon your arrival at Kathgodam, you will be transferred to Kalmatia Sangam, which is roughly a two-and-a-half to three-hour drive to your hotel. Kalmatia Sangam has ten individual rooms and cottages, each tastefully furnished and offering spectacular views of the Himalayas and Nanda Devi.
After checking into your hotel, you will begin an easy walk to Chittai. The Chittai bell temple is dedicated to Golu Devta, the god of justice and peculiar to Kumaon. The temple is hung with petitions and bells of all shapes and sizes brought by grateful devotees. The walking path starts from the resort through chir forests via Sintola with excellent views into the valley and Himalayan range. After your temple visit, you will walk back to the resort.
Walking time to Chittai and back: 4 - 5 hours
Day 4: Kalmatia Sangam After breakfast, drive to Binsar and walk up to Zero Point through dense oak and rhododendron forests. Enjoy the view and hike downhill to the Shiva temple. From there, trek further downhill and follow the western Binsar towards Kangarchina. This is a very scenic walk with good views of the Himalayas on one side and the terraced valley on the other side. Enjoy a packed lunch en route.
