Indian Desert Riding Day
1: Arrival The party will be received at Ahmedabad airport by Dilip
Bhai and Shaktisinh Jadeja and brought by taxi to Dhrangadhra. This first
day the will be devoted to meeting the horses and camels and getting acclimatized.
Day 2- Jesda The party will leave for the village of Jesda and visit
the desert school in the Rann. They will visit the saltpans and then ride
on to Sultanpur where they will spend the night

9- Halvad Castle The team will ride to the Halvad castle in the lake. They will stay in magical Rajput tents between the castle and the ShaktiMa temple. They will see a medieval play called Bhavai that recounts the establishment of this castle in the late 1400s. 8:30pm Dinner 11pm or earlier Retire
Day 10- Ride to Dhrangadhra The team will ride by the Cenotaphs of the Jhala kings
and ride back to Dhrangadhra. They will visit the step well at Kankavati village. Day 11- Rest and Royalty The party will rest in Dhrangadhra and visit the palaces and other sites in the town. They will dine with the royal family on this night.
Day 12- Homeward Bound The team will be taken by taxi to Ahmedabad to take their flights out. Indian Desert Riding Day
7- Desert Crossing The team will across the desert and see wild life. They could stay the night at Vaschadadada a temple to cows and dedicated to two medieval warriors who died in the protection of the cows. At night they will listen to the ballards sung to the goddess.
Day 8- Village of Tikar The party will cross the desert and come to the village of Tikar. They will dance with the villagers after dinner.

3- Temple Visits The party will drive to town of Patadi and visit the Shakti
temple there and then go on to the temple town of Bahucharajji. This is the
world famous temple of the transvestites and the sacred animal is the cockerel
that the
Day 4- Sidphur and Patan The party will ride on to The medieval town
of Sidhpur and Patan. Here they will visit the famous step well of the Queen
Udaymati which was built in the 1040s. They will also visit the Rudra mahal
and Saharalinga tank. Day 5- Modhera The party will ride on to the village of Modhera where
the famous 9th century sun temple is and the watertank. Day 6- Jinjhuvada The party will ride to the medieval fortified town of Jinjhuvada on the north edge of the desert.
