Maldives Eco Special Sample Itinerary Day 1: Meet & greet on arrival by Escape Specialist and Hotel Staff.
Day 2: Enjoy an organic breakfast with fresh herbs from the Soneva Garden. Day 3: Meet up with the Eco Advisor learn about the “Waste to Wealth” program after Breakfast.
Day 4: Volunteer 5 hours on the project of your interest. Day 5: Volunteer 5 hours on the project of your interest.
Day 6: Go on an excursion to a close by fishing village, visit a local household, school or a mosque and learn traditional Maldivian ways of life. Day 7: Kayak and paddle around the island, and enjoy the beautiful sunrise.
Day 8: Excursion to the Heritage Center at Thulhaadhoo island where local artisans have preserved skill and the rich Maldivian cultural heritage to produce lacquer works. Currently this is the only island, which produce small wooden craft with intricate floral designs in the Maldives. Day 9: Go diving or snorkeling with the Marine Biologist. Baa atoll is one of the best preserved reefs in the Maldives and known for the abundant marine life ranging from manta rays to whale sharks. Day 10: After enjoying a magnificent buffet, head over to the spa to indulge in a soothing treatment.
Day 11: Transfer via seaplane to Malé International Airport. Depart from Maldives after earning an invaluable experience and learning about the Maldivian culture, a rare experience.
